Previously enlisted under his correct name of William Hallett in 1915 but discharged due to being considered ar unlikely to make an efficient soldier. Service number 932.

Son of Arthur Ernest Hallett and Ann Hallett nee Taylor of Wentworth Street, Tempe, NSW later of 'Kenti',  King Street, Tempe, NSW

Address at the time of enlistment was 12 Whatley Street, Newtown, NSW

Commenced return to Australia on 31 March 1919 aboard HT Wandillo as wounded disembarking on 18 May 1919 at Melbourne for onward travel to Sydney
