Cecil Digby Humphries was born on November 24, 1887 in
Armadale, an inner suburb of Melbourne. He had blue eyes and dark hair. His father's name was Frederick Humphries, who passed away when Cecil was 31 years old, during the time Cecil was in the army. His mother's name was Amelia Sarah Clark until she married Frederick in 1871, becoming Amelia Sarah Humphries
Cecil Digby Humphries had 5 children with his wife, Mary Elizabeth Humphries (Last name "Reside" at birth) the ones found were:
Jean Townshend (Born Humphries), Reginald Frederick Humphries, Gwen Humphries.
He was an active member of the Church of England.
At he time he went to war, he was 64 Kg and 5 foot 7. He was also 30 years and 6 months old.
He enlisted on the 8th of May 1917, and he joined the 16th infantry battalion.
He returned from war, being discharged due to him having Prepatellar Bursitis, which is large inflammation of the kneecap area.
Cecil Digby Humphries died on the 26th of June 1971, after living for 83 years, 7 months and 2 days.
