19 Jul 1915: | Embarked AIF WW1, Private, 1769, 20th Infantry Battalion, Eden embarked on H.MA.T Kanowna from Sydney but only made it as far as Adelaide and was disembarked on the 25th July with a number of other service men suffering with the measles. | |
2 Nov 1915: | Embarked AIF WW1, Private, 1769, 20th Infantry Battalion, After receiving treatment in Adelaide and convalescing with a trip back home to Quaama, Eden made his second attempt to join the war. He embarked from Sydney on H.M.A.T Euripides. In a sad twist of fate this is the ship that would bring his personal affects back to his family after being Killed in Action. | |
