Brother of Mrs Charlotte Simmons of Sutton Street, Echuca, Victoria. Records have her details as Mrs, W. Simmonds but when she signed her letters the surname seems to be spelt Simmons. brother to F.N. Broomhead of Thevenard, South Australia

Prior to enlisting in the AiF he served for 4 months in the Tooborac Rifle Club
