2119 Private Archibald Baker McNair, enlisted 4 June 1915, decided to marry 8 days later on the 14 June, 2 days prior to embarking from Sydney on 16 June 1915. He was wounded at Lone Pine less than 2 months later and eventually killed in at action at Pozieres 12 months later.
