Pte Victor Cyril Paul Christianson,
Son of Mary (nee McAlpine) and Paul Christianson.
Born in Footscray, Victoria, in 1896.
A labourer, from Richmond West, Victoria, the 21 year old enlisted on the 4 July 1917 after previously being turned away due to poor chest measurements.
He saw service in France as a Private in the 14th Battalion, being given the service number 7460.
He was repatriated to England on the 26 June 1918 after receiving a GSW to his right elbow, before returning to Australia on 26 November 1918. He was discharged as medically unfit on the 18 April 1920.
After the war he married Eulalie Mabel Wright in 1938.
He died on the 27 December 1956 in Heidelberg, Victoria, and was cremated. His ashes interred at Springvale Botanical Cemetery. Boronia, Wall C, Niche 147. He was 60 years old.
