Son of Richard Hussey and Ruth Hussey nee Martin of Numurkah, Victoria. Brother of William Richard Hussey who returned to Australia on 31 May 1919 having served with the Army Medical Corps

Commenced return to Australia on 8 October 1919 aboard HT Devon disembarking on 27 November 1919.
