David Lewis...

David was killed instantly by mortar fire. Described as about 23 years of age, 5 ft, 11 in. tall, sallow completion and clean shaven. Also described as a "good chap."

He left behind his wife Ellen and two daughters. Ellen re-married in 1919 to Claude Gardner. Claude had returned from the war in 1917 after being shot in the right eye.
