Before the War
Born in Bombala in 1894 to John and Sarah Beileiter, Arthur Samuel Beiliterwas a labourer before the outbreak of Wrld War 1 in 1914. He was 22 at his time of enlistment in 1916. Arhtur's two brothers, John and Charles Lyons, also served in the war.
After the War
Arthur embarked for Australia in June 1919 abord the Beltana. After his eventful service and suffering through a great many trench related illnesses, he returned to work as a labourer in Bombala.
Arthur married Lena Maud Beveridge in 1920. She was born on 3rd August 1895 in Bombala and passed away in April 1979 aged 84 years. She is interred at the Palmdale Lawn Cemetery & Memorial Park, Palmdale. The couple divorced in 1959. Arthur passed away in 1968 in Bombala.
