He served under the alias of Harold Harris. Harold was only 17 years old when he died.
Trooper Harold Wright (2671, 15th Australian Light Horse) was born in 1900 in Armidale, NSW. He tried to enlist in early 1916 when he was only 15 years of age, but was discharged after his mother presented his birth certificate at the military camp. Harold then enlisted in March 1917 under the alias of Harold Harris, giving his occupation as sugar boiler. Harold died of broncho-pneumonia on 27 October 1918 at the Australian Divisional Clearing Station in Damascus. He was 17 years of age. Harold’s brother, Private Ernest Roy Wright, served with the 55th Battalion.- Australian War memorial
