2797 Private Leslie James Kingsborough, 3rd Light Horse Regiment, was a 30 year old traveller from Goodwood, South Australia when he enlisted on 10 January 1916. He embarked for overseas with the 19th Reinforcements from Adelaide on 13 July 1916 aboard RMS Mongolia. After seeing action in Egypt and Jordan, he returned to Australia and was discharged on 6 December 1918.
His brother Royden John Kingsborough, served in the 11th Field Ambulance
