CLUB CHAMPION KILLED - F.E. Rush, one of the most popular members of the N.S.W. Cyclists' Union, and a keen supporter of amateur cycling, has been killed in action in France. He was a member of the Western Suburbs Club, and holder of the road championship, which we won two years in succession. The deceased rider will be greatly missed from amateur cycling circles.
RUSH.—Private F. E. Rush, killed in action in France, August, 1916.
One of the best that God could send.
He died as he lived—honourably.
Inserted by his friends, Amy and Phil. Conlon, Kensington.
RUSH. —Killed in action, August 3, 1916, Lance-corporal Frederick Erskine Rush, dearly-loved youngest son of Mrs. Rush and the late Philip Rush, of Penrose, aged 25 years.
Greater love hath no man than this, That he lay down his life for his friends.
