Private Henry Kerr, was the third eldest son of Oliver James (died 1914) and Maria Kerr (died 1907) of Dandenong.

Henry was listed as missing on 19 July 1916 and his death was not confirmed until a court of enquiry was held over 12 months later.

His younger brother 6044 Pte. James Kerr 38th Battalion AIF, was killed in action 28 May, 1917, age 20.
