Births Jun 1887 PRATCHETT Frederick William Hendon 3a 21[53]
He was 30 and the husband of the late Alice Pratchett. Son of John William and the late Elizabeth Prachett of 22, Heading Street, Hendon.
His younger brother, aged 25, also fell. He was Sergeant Sidney James Pratchett (service number: T3/025119) who served with 194th Coy. Army Service Corps and died of wounds. He was awarded the Military Medal (M.M.)
He is one of two Australian casualties of the Great War who are commemorated on the Hendon War Memorial. There is also an Australian born who served and died with British forces.
