Son of Timothy Quinn and Ellen Quinn of Park Street, Scone, NSW.
Brother of Dennis Quinn who returned to Australia on 2 March 1918 having served with the 34th Battalion; William Vincent Quinn who returned to Australia on 15 April 1918 having served with the 34th Battalion; Michael Joseph Quinn who died of wounds on 18 October 1917 while serving with the 34th Battalion. Michael was buried in the Nine Elms British Cemetery, Plot V1, Row C, Grave 22.
