SIMPSON.—Somewhere in France. In proud and loving memory of our dear son, Corporal Bertie Simpson, died of gunshot wounds, 12th June, 1918.
Not one he loved was by his side
To clasp those hands so dear
Or whisper just a last farewell,
Or wipe that brow so clear.
Sleep on, dear son, in a soldier's grave,
Your life for us you nobly gave.
Inserted by his sorrowing mother and father.

SIMPSON.—Somewhere in France, Bertie, the dearly beloved brother and brother-in-law of Edith, and Wm. Jones, of Buderim Mountain.
We do not know what pain he bore,
We did not see him die ;
We only know he left us
And could not say goodbye.

SIMPSON.-In proud and loving memory of our dear brother and brother-in-law, Corporal Bert Simpson, died of wounds, 12th of June, 1918.
Far away on the field of battle,
Nobly he fought and died ;
Now he is peacefully sleeping
Near his fallen comrades' side.
Inserted by Charles and Elsie.

SIMPSON.—Somewhere in France, Corporal Bertie Simpson, dearly beloved brother of Ethel Simpson, Clayfield, died of gunshot wounds, 12th June, 1918.
We missed him the day he left us,
With his smile and his loving way ;
We'll miss him more as the years go by,
As we miss him more to-day ;
Now the battle day is past,
Peacefully he sleeps at last.

SIMPSON.—Somewhere in France, Corporal poral Bertie Simpson, the dearly beloved brother and brother-in-law of Joseph and Elizabeth Simpson, died of wounds, 12th June, 1918.
Too far away his grave to see,
Not too far to think of thee.
Little we thought as we bade him goodbye,
Never to see him again would I.

SIMPSON.—Somewhere in France, Corporal Bertie Simpson, dearly beloved brother and brother-in-law of Arthur and May Simpson (of Ipswich), died of gunshot wounds, 13th June, 1918.
'Midst the battle's awful din,
With firm resolve to die or win,
A credit to his uniform.
Our hero fell, and so we mourn.
He sleeps not in his native land,
But 'neath the foreign skies,
Far from those who loved him best,
In a hero's grave he lies.
