Son of Jonathan and Emily Firth, of Victoria Barracks, Melbourne.
His brother, Private Victor Joseph Firth, Service Number 4194, 51st Bn. Australian Infantry, A.I.F., also fell. [Died 15/08/1916]
Another brother-consecutive Service Number [1911]- also served with the 46th Bn. Australian Infantry, A.I.F., and returned to Australia.
