Son of Thomas Hogg and Elizabeth Hogg nee Bailey of Queen's Road, Wandin, Victoria

Brother of Herbert Hogg who returned to Australia on 9 October 1919 having served with the 4th Machine Gun Battalion

Commenced return to Australia on 18 July 1919 aboard HT Takada disembarking on 7 September 1919
