Augustus Henry Lackmann was born in 1885 in Victoria. Before the war he was an Auctioneer and his marital status was single. Augustus was 5 ft 6 in and 165 lbs, he had brown hair and dark complexion.
Lackman enlisted 15th March 1916, his father Frederick Henry Lackmann was his next of kin. Lackmann embarked from Adelaide, South Australia aged 31, on HMAT A68 Anchises, 28 August 1916. He served on the Western Front and was killed in action 20 September 1917. He is commemorated at Menin Gate.
