4964 Private Archibald Duncan Campbell, 3rd Battalion, of Little Billabong, near Holbrook NSW. He was one of 10 children of Samuel Percy and Annie Maria Campbell via Germantown NSW. The town of Germanton in the eastern Riverina district of NSW changed its name to Holbrook in 1915. Archie only joined the 3rd Battalion in the field two weeks before he was killed in action on 17 August 1916 in France, aged 25. He has no known grave.

His brother, 6719 Lance Corporal Ronald Allan Thomas Campbell 8th Battalion AIF was killed in action 23 August 1918 aged 26.

Another brother, 6489 Pte. Percy William Campbell M.M. also 3rd Battalion AIF, was awarded the Military Medal for bravery in rescuing wounded men during September 1918 before returning to Australia during 1919.
