Lance-Corporal R. R. SCOTT, 43rd Battalion, died of wounds in France on August 22. He enlisted in January, 1916, and sailed for the front in June. He was the third son of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Scott, of  Military-road, Semaphore (late of Elder-road, Birkenhead). He was 25 years of age, and was esteemed by all who knew him.
