Biography contributed by Stephen Brooks

Little detail of his death but among the personal effects of Desmond, returned to his mother, was a bloodstained photograph of his brother William.

His brother, 336 Pte William Joseph Morris, 2nd Machine Gun Battalion, enlisted a few months after Desmond and was killed in action three weeks after his brother on the 9 October 1917, aged 22.
