Logan Village Museum
George was born 10th February 1894 in Brisbane. He died at sea on the 10th December 1916 from pneumonia. He is buried in the Hollybrook Cemetery Southhampton England.
His parents were John and Elizabeth Eugene nee Mecklenburgh.
He is remembered in the Logan Village Museum as he attended the Logan Village School and is on the Museum Honour roll.

"George had been assigned to the 23rd Reinforcements for the 9th Infantry Battalion. His service record reveals that he died on board HMAT Kyarra of pneumonia, just three months after enlisting, he never had the opportunity to serve for King and Country.He is commemorated at Hollybrook Memorial, Southampton, England." - SOURCE (blogs.slq.qld.gov.au)
