SERGT. ARTHUR VALENTINE REVETT LLOYD, 19TH INFANTRY BATTN. AUSTRALIAN IMPERIAL FORCES. KILLED IN ACTION AT BULLECOURT, MAY 3RD, 1917. AGED 28. At the School 1905—7 (Ferox Hall). Sergt. A. V. E. Lloyd was the only son of Benjamin Revett Lloyd, of Queen Street, Mosman, Australia. Entering the School in May, 1905, he was in the Cadet Corps, as it then was, and left at Easter, 1907. Having enlisted in Australia in the 19th (New South Wales) Infantry Battalion, he served with his Battalion in France, and was promoted Sergeant. He was reported missing after the fighting at Bullecourt on May 3rd, 1917, and it was subsequently established that he was killed in action on that day.
