                   as a Private with 5th Infantry Brigade, 19th Infantry Battalion, 5th reinforcements
28/07/1916  gun shot wound to buttock, Pozieres, France
He was wounded on two occasions, once at Pozieres, where he was wounded in the hip,
which necessitated a silver plate being inserted. The effect of this wound ultimately caused his death.
14/02/1917  wounded with fractured clavicle - wounded by being blown out of a truck
                   whilst going up the line.  This necessitated him being returned home. 
22/07/1917  returned to Australia onboard hospital ship A71 Nestor for Home Service
                   (has a fractured clavicle)
24/09/1917   disembarked into Melbourne, VIC
27/09/1917   re-embarked onboard HMAT Eurpides for Sydney, NSW
12/11/1917  discharged from service

02/08/1921  passed away on Tuesday (32 years of age) at Woodville Red Cross Home, Randwick, NSW
                   Roy had been in Randwick Hospital for one year and nine months prior to his death.

                   (An application for a Commonwealth War Graves Plaque was submitted August 2016,
                    and was accepted December 2016. (227550).
