28/07/1916 gun shot wound to buttock, Pozieres, France
He was wounded on two occasions, once at Pozieres, where he was wounded in the hip,
which necessitated a silver plate being inserted. The effect of this wound ultimately caused his death.
14/02/1917 wounded with fractured clavicle - wounded by being blown out of a truck
whilst going up the line. This necessitated him being returned home.
22/07/1917 returned to Australia onboard hospital ship A71 Nestor for Home Service
