From Sue Guinan Tasmania in the Great War
Pte Hugh Henry SAYER,
23 year old bushman from Middleton the son of Henry William and Bertha Sayer he served with the 12th Battalion and returned to Australia 4th November 1918. In 1919 he married Kathleen McKenna and died 18th October 1927 aged 36 whilst fighting a fire.
