Arthur George Criddle was one of six sons of James Criddle (1857-1927) and (Emma Pell 1859-1944) from Naraling, Western Australia that volunteered and fought at the Western Front in Europe in World War 1. 

His Rank from the Nominal Roll was Lieutenant and his Unit from the Nominal Roll was 51st Battalion.

He returned to Australia 21 June 1919.
