Born 22 January 1886 at Adelaide.
Son of Richard James IVES & Charlotte nee GREEN
Of Thompson Rroad, North Fremantle, WA.
Occupation prior to enlistment Blacksmith Striker.
He enlisted at Perth in 1915 and after training at. Blackboy Hill, went to Egypt. He then crossed to France and was wounded at Delville Wood in December, 1916. He was sent to Victoria Hospital Netley, England suffering shell shock and paralysis after a gunshot wound to the ankle and head and was listed as dangerously ill.
Returned to Australia 18th August 1917 "Karoola"
Discharged 18th February 1918
Died 29th June, 1951
