Son of John Zeller and Ann Zeller nee Nixon of Chinchilla, QLD.
Brother of Richard Zeller who returned to Australia on 15 February 1919 having served with the 42nd Battalion; Alfred Zeller who returned to Australia on 20 August 1919 having served with the 8th Field Company Engineers; George Herbert Zeller who died of wounds on 9 Apirl 1918 while serving with the 25th Battalion and is buried in the Warloy-Baillon Communal Cemetery Extension, Plot 1V, Row E. Grave 3
