The sad news was recently received of the death from wounds of Captain Gregory James Gibson, formerly of the C.P.S. office, Dalby. The deceased soldier, who was recently wounded, and was four months in hospital, had only been back in the firing line in France for about a month. Prior to enlistment he was employed in the Crown law office, Brisbane, whither he went after leaving Dalby about four years ago. He was of a studious nature, and had passed the intermediate law examination, and had only two months to go to take part in the final examination, when the call of the Empire came. The deceased's brother, Private Clement Gibson, is with the Light Horse, and one of his sisters is a nurse in a military hospital in England. The two other, sisters reside in Brisbane, and the remaining brother, who is married, is at Mackay.
