THOMAS EDWARD JONES
Thomas was the eldst son of Elizabeth Ann Jones of Chewton, Victoria.
He was delivered on the 5th July, 1884 at Castlemaine by his grandmother Mary Jones.
His mother later married William Robert Howard.
The back of the post card was addressed to his wife and children in Australia and reads:
"To my darling wife and children with love from your loving husband and father" signed T E Jones. The signature exactly matches his signature on his war records. Thomas was later wounded and returned home to Melbourne.
The original post card is with Noel Howard and given to him by his step brother Nathaniel Howard.
