Enlisted in Boulder in March, 1915, and went through his preliminary training in Blackboy Camp, Perth.
He sailed for England on the 28th December, 1915, completing his training there.
He then sailed with his battalion for Franee, where he took part in the historic battles of Ypres and Passchendaele Ridge.
It was on the eventful 5th of October, 1917, when the West Aastralians distinguished themselves at Pass-chendaele Ridge, that the above hero made the sapreme sacrifice.
He was 22 years of age at the time of his death, and he is buried at Passchen-@acle.
His parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Worley, reside at 210 Pirie-street, South Boulder, West Australia.
