Died on this date - 30th May......Private Cecil Henry Rosevear was born at at Rosevears, Tasmania in 1898. He enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force (A.I.F.) on 27th November, 1917 as a 19 year old Farmer from Rosevears, Tasmania.

Private Rosevear arrived in England for further training on 20th April, 1918 & was posted to 1st Training Battalion at Sutton Veny, Wiltshire.

Private Rosevear was sent sick to Group Clearing Hospital at Sutton Veny on 21st May, 1918 with bronchitis & Laryngitis on 21st May, 1918 then transferred & admitted to Military Hospital at Sutton Veny on 24th May, 1918 seriously ill with Pneumonia (as per Casualty Form - Active Service, however the Hospital Admissions form stated that he was admitted with a severe attack of measles & Bronchitis.)

Private Cecil Henry Rosevear died at 3.20 am on 30th May, 1918 at the Military Hospital, Sutton Veny of Measles & purulent Bronchitis, which was verified by a post mortem. He was buried in St. John the Evangelist Churchyard at Sutton Veny, Wiltshire, England where 140 other WW1 Australian Soldiers & 2 Australian Nurses are buried.
