Jacob Valentine Jacobson was born 1887 in Macarthur, Victoria. He was the 8th child of Jacob Edward and Frances (nee Howell) Jacobson.
Jacob was a Lance Corporal and served with the 24th Australian Infantry Battalion
He was K.I.A. on the 04th October 1917
