Mrs. T. Heathcote, of Inverness, Culcairn, has received a communication from the officer-in-charge of the Base Records Office in Melbourne, confirming the report published in the 'London Gazette' that 'His Majesty the King had been graciously pleased to confer for conspicuous bravery the Military Medal on her son. Corporal Albert Wallace Heathcote, Albert was through Gallipoli, and has since been promoted to the rank of sergeant. Cyril and Bruce Heathcote, two brothers, are also on active service.
