Biography contributed by Faithe Jones

Son of Letitia SMITH (formerly BOLDERY), Aramara, Queensland, and the late Thomas BOLDERY

Only a bundle of letters,

All that is left to me;

But the boy who died for his country,

Ever lives in my memory.

Only some lines from the trenches,

And the hand of the writer is cold;

But the naem of the paper is graven,

In shining letters of gold.

BOLDERY. — Sacred to the memory of my dear son and our dear brother, Private David William Boldery, (Dave), who was killed in action at Warnenton (near Messines) on 28th August, 19i7.
Released from sorrow, sin and pain;
And freed from every care;
By Angels' hands to Heaven conveyed
To rest for ever there.
(Inserted by his loving mother and
brothers.)

BOLDERY.- Sacred to the memory of our dear brother, Private David William Boldery, who was killed in action at Warnenton (near Messines) on August 28, 1917.
A precious one from us is gone,
A voice we loved is still,
A place is vacant in our home,
Which never cau be filled.
God in His wisdom has recalled
The boon His love had given,
And though the body slumbers,
The soul is safe in Heaven.
(Inserted by his loving sisters,
Maud, Florrie, Dot, Nellie.)

BOLDERY. — In loving memory of my dear brother, Private David William Boldery, 41st Battalion.  A.I.F., killed in action in France, 28th August, 1917.
I mourn for you, dear brother,
But not with outward show;
For the heart that mourns sincerely,
Mourns silently and low.
(Inserted by his ever loving sister,
Maude, Brisbane.)
