Son of Thomas and Alison Isabel Ghent, of 128, Tinning St., Brunswick, Victoria, Australia.
UNTIL THE DAY DAWNS
Sergeant Lloyd Ghent (wounded) is a son of Mr. T. Ghent, Thistle Street, West Brunswick. He was in the employ of Huddart, Parker and Co., and latterly was purser on the Westralia and Rotomahana. He was lieutenant in the senior cadents, Coburg division, and is a nephew of Captain Baird, M.L.A., who is also at the front, and a grandson of Mr. G. M. Coutts, of Ballarat. He was 19 years of age at the time he enlisted.
GHENT.- Killed in action in France, on the 20th September, after three years' service, Captain Lloyd Ghent, beloved eldest son of Thomas and Alison Ghent, of 136 Tinning street, Brunswick, and loving brother of Rubie, Vere, Albert, Ailsie, and Gladys, aged 22 years and 3 months.
