Medals: 1914-15 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal

While living in England he served with the Territorial Force, West Somerset Yeomanry.

Trooper Percy Hamlin Beckett 1889–1915 was the son of Henry Hamblin Beckett 1858–1910 and Sarah Beckett 1854–1923 and he had a brother, Stanley Tom Perkins Beckett 24 Jun 1891–1943. Stanley had a draper's shop in Minehead. He married Dorothy May in 1916 -and Stanley’s son, Flight Sergeant (Air Gunner) Percy Herbert Beckett [Service Number 902554] was killed in action in WWII [12/05/1941] whilst serving in the RAF. 40 Sqdn.Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. [Percy Herbert Beckett was born 13 Dec 1916 - he married Cecily M Berry in 1941]
