Son of John Baptiste and Ellen (Nell) Elizabeth (nee Swetnan) Cardilini of Dyke STret, Burnsdale, Victoria. Brother of Lovell Emanuel Cardilini who returned to Australia on 1 July 1919 having served with the 1st Battalion and died in 1930
