Biography

Born Miles Patrick O'Reilly -  see Ancestry link

"LATE PTE. M. O'REILLY.

WASLEYS, September 18.- News was received this morning of the death of Pte. Myles O'Reilly, who was killed in France. He was the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward O'Reilly. His three elder brothers are also with the forces. Deep sympathy is felt for his parents, who now reside at Terowie. They lived here for 40 years. The deceased soldier was born and reared here, and took an interest in sports. He was a valued member of both the cricket and football clubs, and was a keen follower of coursing. He was a general favourite." - from the Adelaide Register 19 Sep 1916 (nla.gov.au)
