There is some confusion as to the spelling of soldier's last name. Signature on Attestation Form is William GIFFEN, although his name elsewere on the Attestation Form is GIFFIN.

Private Giffin experienced multiple gun shot wounds while serving during the war. He was medically discharged on the 12 December 1919.
