Biography

Unit embarked from Adelaide, South Australia, on board HMAT A19 Afric on 9 June 1916

23/11/1916 - Appointed Lance Corporal while in England. 

25/11/1915 - Proceeded overseas to France.

16/03/1917 - Wounded in action in Boulogne, France: Gunshot wound to right leg (ankle/foot), right buttock, and left arm.

16/03/1917 - Admitted to 13th General Hospital, Boulogne.

16/03/1917 - Transfer to Kitchener Military Hospital, Brighton, England.

22/08/1917 - Transfer to 3rd Auxilary Hospital, Dartford, England.

14/09/1917 - Discharge from 3rd Auxilary hospital to furlough and rep. Weymouth.

Returned to Australia 5 November, 1917, returned to Adeliade 27 December, 1917.

Medals: British War Medal, Victory Medal.
