PTE. ERIC CROSS
Wo have to record the death in action of this young soldier within a few days of his expected relief from the trenches. He was an employee of Messrs G. Kinnear & Sons before enlisting, and prior to embarkation was tendered a send-off and presentation by his fellow employees. He was a young men of quiet unassuming disposition and was highly esteemed by those with whom he came in contact. Pte Cross, was a nephew of ex Cr Treganowan, of Williamstown.
