The details provided are taken from the book "Stealth Raiders - a few daring men in 1918" written by Lucas Jordan, published 2017, refer to pages 274 and 285. Prior to the war he was a clerk of Petersham NSW. He enlisted 27th Sep 1916 aged 30 years. He served with the 30th Infantry Battalion. He survived the war, departing the UK for home 5th July 1919. During his service he maintained a diary which has been donated to the Mitchell Library of NSW, reference ML MSS 2963 (2 items).
