Son of William J and E A NEAL, 'Bruceville' 13 Bruce Street, Stanmore, Sydney, NSW
Victor saw war service in Egypt, France - wounded at the Somme 14 Decmeber 1916 and invalided to the 2nd S. General Hospital, Southmead, Bristol, England. He returned to duty after recovering only to be gassed on 23 April 1918 and was invalided to a French Convalescent Camp. Returned to the firing line in August 1918.
