Mr. G.B.R. McAlister, who left Singleton last Saturday, after four and a half years' service as accountant in the local branch of the Bank of New South Wales, met with misfortune a day or two after arriving in Sydney to take up duty in the head offic. News has been received that he was admitted to St. Vincent's Hospital on Tuesday with Pneumonia, and his condition was such as to give cause for the gravest anxiety.
