Biography

"THE LATE PRIVATE F. RAYMOND.

Private F. Raymond, who was killed in action in France on November 5, was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Raymond, 35 Esplanade, Glenelg, and grandson of the Rev. S. Raymond, Unley. He was educated at the Unley Public School and Kyre College. Afterwards he was on a farm at Murray Bridge, later on returning to Unley, where he enlisted. He served in Gallipoli for four months before being sent to France. A brother (Leslie) is at the front." - from the Adelaide Chronicle 23 Dec 1916 (nla.gov.au)
