Mr. J. McL. Dalgleish
The funernl of the late Mr. James McLean Dalgleish, Victorian manager of West Australian Tanners and Fellmongers' Ltd., who died suddenly at the Fitzroy cricket ground on Tuesday, took place at Burwood cemetery yesterday. A native of Dumfreishire, Scotland, Mr. Dalgleish settled at Fremantle in 1912 and joined Mr. Cleve Doig in business ns tanners and fellmongers. Subsequently the business was formed into a company and for the last eleven years Mr. Dalgleish has managed the Melbourne branch. He served in the A.I.F. during the Great War, and was at Gallipoli with the 16th Battalion. He was aged 49, and loft a widow and daughter. Rev. J. Meers, of West Hawthorn Presbyterian Church, conducted services at the home, Whitford-street, Upper Hawthorn, and grave. The 16th Battalion A.I.F. Association was represented by Colonel E. J. Parks (president), nnd the Victorian Leather and Findings Representatives' Association by Mr. J, T. Clark (president) .
