Enlistment date-14 January 1915-Perth, Western Australia-10th Light Horse Regiment, 5th Reinforcement. Regimental number
941-at attestation he was allotted Service Number 118.
Unit embarked from Fremantle, Western Australia, on board HMAT A20 Hororata on 26 April 1915-he was 23 at the time.
He was discharged in London 25th October 1919 when he was a Lance Corporal in the 3rd Machine Gun Squadron and intended to settle back in County Kilkenny.
