"THE LATE LIEUTENANT A. R. WALKER.

Lieutenant A. R. Walker, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Walker, of Mount Gambier, has been killed in action in France. He was of a bright, cheery disposition, and was highly esteemed. He was a native of Mount Gambier, and was 33 years of age. After enlisting in March, 1915, he made rapid progress in the Military School in Adelaide, and gained the rank of lieutenant when he left last November." - from the Adelaide Chronicle 23 Sep 1916 (nla.gov.au)
